Murray, KY – The Murray Bank is pleased to announce the addition of Leah Bona, VP Finance Officer. Bona comes to The Murray Bank after working in the Accounting Industry for nearly 25 years.

"I am honored and excited to take on the role of Finance Officer at The Murray Bank and grateful for the trust and confidence placed in me by the leadership team,” said Bona. “I am also incredibly grateful for the mentorship provided by Marla Geib Hendrick since joining the Bank. As I transition into my new role, I look forward to working collaboratively with the entire team to achieve our shared goals."

Bona comes to The Murray Bank from Alexander Thompson Arnold PLLC (ATA) with over 15 years of experience in public accounting, as well as over 10 years of experience in private accounting as a controller and CFO. Her responsibilities at ATA included tax and financial planning, preparation of corporate, business and individual tax returns, governmental and nonprofit auditing and an extensive range of accounting services.

Bona graduated from Murray State University with a Bachelor of Science in accounting. She received her Master of Business Administration with an accounting emphasis from Murray State University in 1996. Bona is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Kentucky Society of CPAs.

Allison grew up in West Palm Beach, Fl, but now resides in Marshall County with her husband John Stevens. She has worked previously at Bank of America and Lake Chem Federal Credit Union. They have three sons, twin boys Wyatt (8) and Colton (8), and  Leland (6).
